Thanks for the video and information mate. Slight improvement to this route I've noted: When fighting the horsemen, if you travel slightly past the spiked rock formation that you see to the right as you're exiting the canyon, other demons on foot respawn inside the canyon. Adds a few more kills while you're just traveling back and forth.

@DeathGhost809 People usually miss the life & wrath shards in the Serpent Holes. One in serpent hole going to Anvil Forge, a wrath shard (you need abyssal chain). One wrath shard in serpent hole going to serpent the Dry Road, after entering the serpent hole just turn around. One life shard in serpent hole going to the Twilight Cathedral, using the Mask of Shadows find the hidden shadow current (yellow in color) near the end portal and just follow the way.

Easier way to farm souls is to go to Slitha's Loom. There's a room with about 15-20 small spiders (it also had one of the "shell" spiders earlier).
Using the harvester scythe with Death's Embrace enhancement, clear the room. To respawn the room, you go out the door into the smaller adjoining room, then out the other door from that. Once you open the second door, the spider room respawns. Takes maybe 20 seconds to clear the room for 200-300 souls.

So you could max out everything. I need one soldier so that vulgrim gives me the last life shard but I don't know where I forgot it. And I need one wrath shard to be able to max out wrath, buying the rest from vulgrim ....

You can also go back under the stone bridge just beyond the riders and the blue axemen will also respawn each time you go back in the cavern :)

Kill the spiders in Silitha's area. Leave a room, come back in, full of spiders. Then just jump and pound the ground with the Gauntlet. Very quick.

you dont have to beat the whole game to do this but everything is avaliable after you leave eden (the land on the far top left corner) which is pretty much near the end

Takes me about 5-10 seconds to respawn the room. Now that my scythe is level 4 as well, only takes about 10 seconds to clear the room.

Are you sure you're in the right room? I do recommend using the harvester scythe. I've pretty much worked it down to 10 souls a second.

There is a slight problem in my above post. You actually have to move through the second door for the respawn (but you don't need to wait till it closes, so run through and back).

@zxqv8 Indeed, I was just wondering about this way myself, since that's how I've been farming. I think I got about 2000 souls in 5 minutes. I'll reset the timer and do another test. Okay, so... in 5:00:52 time I managed to farm 1464 souls out of the small spiders just next to the formerly sealed entrance to Silitha's Lair. Using Scythe and Death's Blessing. The good part over farming from a horse is that you actually can easily level your weapon like that. In about 15 mins I got from lvl 1 to 3

@tael44 you must say: when you do so your xbox 360 starts to suffer and your armor starts flashing (or at least if you have abyssal armor) because of the dense population on the level XD XD XD

@SilentBob420BMFJ Any area you can feel the game skip a bit as it loads the next room works well enough, the game only seems to hold two or three at a time. They're usually disguised with demon growth or some other obstacle but the grapple item makes traversal way faster. I found a few places in the Iron Canopy that work really well, but probably not so well as the water hole.

combining all four horsemen, I got 630 souls + 100 souls from demons spawning in the passage you return to.

well theres an enchantment u can put on a weapon where u get more souls per kill and if its on the scythe then u get even more so if u have that on u can get a bunch here
