Looks like SC is the hardest for checks and balances and right now they are doing whatever they feel like

Cut off the Supreme Court's AC and give them rolling power cuts, pipe in the pollution from the outside and don't forget to make sure they drink the same water we have to drink

I don't get why people hate on Biden when the Senate and Supreme Court stop him from doing anything. Politics in the US is simply not built for such polarised times.

I think the support for climate action in polls largely reflects social desirability effects and is at best a measure of apathy. When asked directly people may say they care about climate change, but it ranks really low when people are asked about their top issues.
There also aren't any large scale behavioral changes. SUVs and pickups are as popular as ever, the average size of homes keeps growing, urban sprawl is rampant, meat consumption is rampant at best and US carbon emissions continue to well above OECD average both per capita as well as per $ of GDP.
We also don't see Democrats being punished for being soft on climate change.

Fucking ridiculous court. They were already delegated the authority. SCOTUS is way out of line

I have overwhelming amounts of existential angst about climate change and the mass extinction event we are causing. I literally hate these people (conservatives on the USSC) for what they are doing.

The Environment Protection Agency can't enforce regulations that would have a "major" affect on an industry, unless (do nothing) Congress approves the regulation. We're screwed.

The current supreme court does not protect the public and our form of government that's designed to protect the people. It supports big business for their own individual selfish gains. Very short sided, not to see the environment is more important than making money.

Bro, do you even checks and balances?

Outstanding decision by SC as many of these government agencies have kind of gone on their own thing with no accountability.

Sorry, not a well done video.
From 538 I would have expected an analysis on why a gov agency (executive branch) cannot mandate regulations which are akin laws (prerogative of the legislative branch).

Shouldn't this title be: Congress never passed the climate bill and not try to blame the Supreme Court?
