I lost a friend to suicide the first summer of Covid. She was the biggest Swiftie I knew. Rather than get mired in grief and mourning, I chose to honour her by having as much fun as possible whenever Taylor's songs came up and think about my friend abandoning herself into these songs.
Hearing Teddy sing this has tears pouring down my face. I miss my friend. Thank you for this.
