Two things I have to say. I am not surprised other countries are getting better at the women's game. I feel like the other reason the USWNT has been so dominate against other countries is because they got a head start. But once the other countries started caring about the women's game is was only natural they would be level or surpass the USWNT. As all things (especially in Europe) were superior. They have better facilities, scouting, coaching, etc.

Lastly, I am going to miss US Soccer matches not on Fox or ESPN. I am not looking forward to Turner Sports broadcasting the matches and it sounds like a lot of them are going to be on HBO Max. I hate streaming, streaming sucks, especially for sports, and I don't want to pay for another streaming service.

It was fun. I think there's a long way to go. There's still a question of discipline. They need to work Trinity Rodman into the team. Is this the center back pairing for the WC? How about the Olympics further down the road? Let's not forget that we are still, technically, behind the Europeans. The gals won out of desperation. They are going to have to play like that every game until the end of the Olympics.
