The way the friend spoke to the 911 operator really bothered me "yeah my friend is missinggg" said so unserious and sarcastic🤷‍♀️.
But this is so incredibly sad!

For his mother to claim he’s innocent after hearing the evidence, is ridiculous!!! She either know the devil she raised, it she’s in-denial.
You covered this case so well, per usual! This was such a tragic, sad and heartbreaking case. She didn’t deserve what happened at all!😢

i hate the way the friend is talking on the phone to the operator and then they couldn’t locate her and thought her phone was just stranded somewhere and continued with their night? so messed up

I use to be a Uber driver and I was absolutely terrified to have strangers behind me in my car. A few scary encounters I’ve experienced but I no longer allow strangers in my car

I'm an Uber driver and those are very good tips. Women often check my plates, but too many drunk ones get in my car and are not my passengers. You can't be too safe. Great video! can use PIN number with Uber.

I wish my best friends would wait until noon of the next day to report me missing….and also there was nothing “normal” about them going to her location on Montgomery and not seeing her there. How do you carry on and continue partying? Yes I’m judging them!!

Yes me too! I don’t trust Ubers. They can be so scary getting into a strangers car not knowing their true intentions !

She was easily a target.

I’ll never forget this case or Samantha. I have heard this case before and it’s one that breaks my heart and sticks with me. It is so incredible tho how the family has gotten laws passed to protect riders (and drivers).

Being a female Uber driver in the city of Boston, I can’t tell you how many drunk college kids have entered my vehicle thinking I was there ride, when indeed I was not. Uber tried combatting this problem by requiring the driver and riders match a PIN number in order to verify passengers and drivers but unfortunately that is not the default for every ride. The real issue is drunk college kids not paying attention to their surroundings or to what vehicles they’re getting into. Then you have some who will say they are that person, and half way during the trip try and get the driver to change the destination. Only to find out that they are not the right person and are trying to swindle a free Uber ride on someone else’s dime. It happens. Which is why only the rider can change the destination from their end, not the driver.

This case gave Uber drivers a bad name all around when in fact it had nothing to do with an Uber driver, nor was it an Uber drivers fault. Riders should be matching license plate numbers that is clearly shown on the app, along with the drivers photo to the vehicle/person before entering. That’s just basic common sense. I think the underlying issue here is alcohol. Because let’s be honest? Would she have gotten into some random strangers vehicle if she wasn’t highly inebriated? Most likely not. Either way nobody deserves to die in such a way.

Yall this isn’t really to blame Uber
She was drunk unfortunately and this guy pretended to be the Uber car she was looking for and she wasn’t sober the only person to blame is this monster he was looking for someone that night and unfortunately it was her
