2015 Ford Edge Sport AWD - Off Road And Track Review

Thee 2015 Ford Edge Sport with AWD. This is an SUV from Ford, featuring a 2.7L Turbo V6 producing 315 HP, which I’ll be comparing to the Jeep Cherokee, Kia Sorento, Nissan Murano, and Subaru Outback. Starting with the drawbacks, the Ford tested had the highest MSRP at $45,785 and also had the worst fuel economy at 17 mpg city 24 highway. That said, it was a seriously fun car to drive with quick acceleration and good handling. It also offered the greatest rear legroom and rear headroom of the group, can tow up to 3500 lbs, and offers plenty of cargo space. The vehicle weight was also in line with the others. From a driving perspective, this was my personal favorite from the group, though it did not win the category.

This vehicle was tested as part of the 2015 Northwest Automotive Press Association’s Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year competition. The vehicle category and competing vehicles are below:

Compact Utility Vehicles:

Family Utility Vehicles: (Released May 26)

Premium Compact Utility Vehicles: (Released May 27)

Premium Utility Vehicles: (Released May 28)

Pickups: (Released May 29)

Extreme Capability Vehicles: (Released May 30)

The fact that Ford have been making more and more of their vehicles fun to drive is why they are my favorite car brand.

I don't like this kind of cars, but I do enjoy his reviews. They are so calm and in debt. With just the perfect humour.

Woah, I'm digging the flood of videos! My mom really wants the Ford Edge, and after having driven one myself (a 2013 model), I gotta say that the V6 in that thing is very enjoyable. It isn't a vehicle I would buy for myself, but I won't deny that it is a pleasure to drive. :)

Question please.. what causes ford edge 2011 to be showing AWD off, and the car will automatically stop . What is causing the problem? Can it be fixed? Please I need help 😢.

It has a 1.5 " lift kit. I wonder how much better it can really get.

Tow rating of Edge Sport is 2, 000 Lb not 3, 500 Lb. The lower horsepower 2.0L and 3.5L engines are 3, 500. Per Ford website.

I don't generally give a dam about these kind of cars but this refreshed Edge looks kickass. Sounds better than it should too, I'm guessing it's got the Sound Symposer

Question: Will you have regular reviews of these vehicles later? While it is entertaining to see the track and off-road stuff, people are generally looking to buy a vehicle like this for comfort and practicality, so it'd be nice to hear about more of the features. I'm planning on buying a GMC Canyon myself, which is why I have brought it up before, and I am definitely looking forward to seeing you perform these tests with it. But, same as with the Edge, I'd also really love to hear about the other features of it. I have watched many reviews on the 2015 Canyon and not a single reviewer gives even a slightly in-depth look at the interior features and infotainment system like you do in your reviews. Yours could ultimately be the most valuable video review on YouTube.

Will you do a written comparison of all the models?

How does it feels the transmission? Smooth in drive? Smooth at the time changing to R?

A Ford Edge Sport with just the sunroof option or the Nissan Murano Platinum fully loaded with sunroof and all drivers aids will cost me almost exactly the same right now.
Which do you recommend? Do you think one is better built or more reliable? I love them both for completely different reasons.

In 2017, you should be comparing it to an Audi Q5 and a Mercedes-Benz GLC 300
