Officials say they are investigating a death at the site of the Burning Man festival in Nevada. Thousands of attendees are stuck in the area as flooding from a storm made its way across the desert. Since sanitation has never been great at the event, that standing water is most likely highly contaminated.

I love how the guy explains what goes on there like it's a county fair.

You said nothing about the death investigation and keep showing the same few pictures over and over. Bad reporting

Movie THE WICKER MAN is basically what the burning man represents. A Pagan Festival. They burn a 2 story or more wood structure in human shape at end of the festival and several years ago a man ran into the fire . Needless to say he burned to death . Was he some sort of chosen sacrifice or was he just high on drugs and crazy? There is much weirdness at that festival.

Looks like a super-spreader event, flood waters around the port-a-potties.

For everyone asking why cant they just leave. Its called flooded low water crossings. At this point creek and small river bed crossings are probably 2 feet under moving water. If you need further explanation, Google that.

Am I crazy or does it seem inappropriate to burn that giant wooden man structure, especially after what just happened in Hawaii?!

What sucks is that eventually our TAX MONEY will be used to either haul them out, or haul them in food and water. And once again the hard working middle class taxpayers will be on the hook for the stupidity of the galactically ignorant.

This is hilarious:
1-equate “environmental consciousness” to a drug fueled rave where the crescendo is setting a huge fire.
2- Host it on a dry lake bed.
3- Be surprised when excessive rain floods said lake bed.
