Why I Went into Medicine: Gary Steinberg, MD, PhD
Показать описание
Thousands and thousands of times, brain surgeon Gary K. Steinberg has done one of medicine’s most difficult jobs. Why? He fell in love. In this video, Steinberg, chair of Stanford Health Care’s Department of Neurosurgery, director of the Stanford Moyamoya Center, and the founder and do-director of the Stanford Stroke Center, explains his gradual evolution of study from psychiatry to psychobiology to neurology— and finally to cerebrovascular neurosurgery. And he shares the mental strategy that supports his ability to perform this delicate work of blood vessel repair in the brain. “It’s daunting,” he said, “but it’s also creative.”
