I PASSED THE TSHOOT EXAM!! - CCNP TSHOOT (I also failed)

In December, I gave myself a challenge...I'm finally going to get my CCNP by passing my TSHOOT exam. Using Boson Netsim and CBT Nuggets....I failed.....but then I passed!!

I failed my CCNP TSHOOT exam the first time I attempted it. You're attitude on dealing with the failure is the way to do it. I also went back home and since I'd seen the exam at that point, I focused my study efforts on what I saw during my failed attempt. I went back a week later and blew the exam away. Learning how to handle failure and turn it into a positive outcome the next time is a great skill to have.

That experience proved to be a great help when I went after the CCIE. I failed the CCIE lab exam twice and each time I used the knowledge and experience of the failed attempts to focus my studies. The second time on the CCIE lab, I did better than the first time. Again I looked at where I had challenges and addressed them in my studies before going back on the third CCIE lab attempt, which I passed.

First of all a BIG!!! CONGRATS !!! Why i said a so is because i have failed my CCNA once and know that sinking feeling .. what i have been observing is, people are passing CCNP /CCIE any track with the help of brain dumps .That is annoying . I have been postponing my Route from last 1 year because i was not confident that i will pass, But now after seeing your video and Netsim 12, I think with proper practice and time, I can make it now !! Surprisingly I got 100% on TSHOOT and had over an hour left. I only JUST passed SWITCH (think i was 1-2 questions away from a fail) and I failed my ROUTE once. Took me about 12 months to get CCNP and used INE and Nuggets to study. Also used packettracer and GNS3 a lot. I didn't use any books. GL all.

Congrats. When I got my CCNP I studied for ROUTE a few hours a night (and a bit more) for a month. After passing, I did the same thing for SWITCH for almost 2 months because my day-to-day had much less switching at the time. But I scheduled TSHOOT as soon as I got home from passing SWITCH. I studied for 1 week and took TSHOOT and, with ROUTE and SWITCH fresh in my mind, I thought TSHOOT was a real pleasure. It really captured some elements about what makes being a network engineer fun. I can imagine it being really tough and stressful though if you wait several years between taking ROUTE/SWITCH and TSHOOT. I re-certified my CCNP in May 2018 and did so by taking TSHOOT again. Having passed it before I had no trouble with minimal study, and that would probably not be the case for ROUTE or SWITCH.

Well done man!! I haven't done many exams at testing centers, I've done the Comptia A+ (Which I recently completed :D). Can't put in to words the anxiety just before starting the test and clicking the final 'Submit' button. Even though you think you know the content back to front, exams are almost designed to trick us. You don't know what you don't know!

Congrats on the CCNP! I got my CCNA R/S the same day! Ugh...Cisco just has a way of making you doubt yourself much.
