I believe that even if the Panthers were winning they would have traded Johnson. The main reason they let him go was his flat out refusal to run block. It cost the offense yards, possible points, and at one point almost got him injured. Morgan sent a message with that trade, if you don't give us your all and do everything you can to improve the team, you are gone.

Since coming back from the bench, Bryce has been averaging about 174 YPG with 4 TDs and 3 INTs. What box score watchers won't see is that his WRs cost him about 40 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT in the Saints game. If you factor those in, he's at 187 YPG, 5 TDs, and 2 INTs. Significantly improved from how he looked at the beginning of the season and even last year. He's not putting up crazy numbers but he's playing with confidence and showing up in big moments. He's showing great improvement too and is clearly headed in the right direction.

I think the play calling is heavily limiting him because in the giants game it was aggressive at first and Bryce was putting up good yards but in the second half it was too conservative
