The Crochet Gingham Blanket is the identical pattern of the Buffalo Plaid Afghan but has different colours. Styled for more neutral decor with the colours of Vintage White and Dark Grey Bernat Blanket Yarn.

The technique is so simple that it’s not even funny. Watch the tutorial below to show you how to do this. You will be really surprised at how easy it is to do.

This video is closed-captioned for the deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. The captioning is also available in multiple languages such as Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. The written pattern is only available in English. . *** .

To change the size of this blanket, the stitch multiple is 12 chs + 9.

Thank you for this pattern, seems easy and quick. Will be making this for a new father to be, loves hand made blankets, to cuddle with his first baby boy. So excited to start on this blanket.

Thank you for sharing. I finally made this blanket with bernat yarn and used fuchsia and vintage white yarn. Loved the blanket. I really enjoy how you explain the patterns and make it so easy for us to follow. THANK YOU!!🤗🤗🤗

I am loving this pattern so much and I am doing it with the blanket yarn and then have started another with the Hometown USA yarn as well and they both are looking really great....

Hmmm. Someone in my life is a Florida Gators fan. This could very well make a nice Christmas gift for him - a gingham blue/orange stadium blanket. I'm assuming this split stitch works with any weight of yarn, worsted and chunky and everything in between?

Hi Mikey. Thanks for this tutorial and pattern. I had not seen this before. My husband is tired of my girly afghans and wants a man afghan. This will fit the bit perfectly. Would you mind sharing where you got that crochet hook? I will be needing to pick one up for this. Thank you so much for all your tutorials!

That looks like it's going to take a tremendous amount of yarn.

I was wondering being you had orange on bottem and top couldn't you just slip stitch to the next row when your making the lines? Less to weave in at the end.

If i used redheart yarn would it still have the same effect?

Can this be done with regular 4 weight yarn?
