I agree that it's a combination of both freewill and destiny as God sees all things we will do or will do and in His ways makes things happen that do not violate the freewill or responsibilities of humanity. He knows who will reject Him but He still pursues them anyway and uses their evil and sin to further His glory. The only thing I do not agree with is that Piper believes that faith is literally given to you by God, like its not even a choice he just one day gives it. Meaning He didn't die for everyone which He did. He labels faith as a work, humans doing something to be saved when the bible says faith is not a work. Salvation is a gift and grace is given to those who believe and are drawn in by the truth of the bible. We know humans do have a will a free will but that will does not impede God of his sovereignty. Its hard to understand how and I COULD be wrong in my understanding something I feel Piper should say because it's possible we both misunderstand the txt or have only given a Laymen explanation. But still God our Father is truly wonderous incredible terrifying and Loving. Please let us all worship Him and spread His word about His son so that the sinners and wicked of the world may kiss the hand of the Son before being washed away in the wake of their evil.

It seems to me that he didnt fully answer the question. How can guilt be put in the person who was caused to sin by God?

The sovereignty of God and his character alone indicate that eternal torment can't exist. Apart from the blatant mistranslations in the Latin vulgate that is.

Typical Calvinist rubbish - redefining words is essential when trying to defend the indefensible.

Where does Piper start? Let's redefine some words away from what they normally mean to normal people. It's the same with "compatabilistic free will" - an oxymoron, an absurdity, to any logical person not trying to defend the indefensible.
