In the Super Mario Bros. Movie there’s a funny little detail that you may have missed. In the scene in which Bowser and his troops are celebrating that they finally got the Super Star. If you look closely, you can see that there’s a Shy Guy who takes his mask off. Despite we are not able to see his face, we can assume how terrifying he actually is. You just have to look at his friends, reaction. Now we know why Shy Guys wear masks.
