I find Wickes wood generally good value. One one occasion a young Wickes chap was helping me with rather a large load and I asked him if he knew Wickes made propellors for Spitfires during the war. He said no and looked quite shocked. I then said judging by some of this wood they still do. It was a joke but any wood store has a few nasties at the back of the rack. It's a shame our local Farnborough branch has downsized but they still carry most things.

So, if I under stand this right, the whole weight of the shed will be supported by four insubstantial metal pegs? No lawn is perfectly level, the weight of the shed will simply sink slightly to the corner of the highest peg. 👎

I believe there are many among us who will see that this has to be the most ridiculous way of erecting a shed base. It will slowly sink to the ground and rot away in no time at all. Bloody ridiculous 😡😡

No concrete? I want a 6x8 shed in the garden to escape the women in the house, surely the addition of concrete and some hardcore for drainage underneath will be better than just 4 pegs?

It will rot in contact with the ground. That's where fence posts rot most. A really silly thing to do

to be honest, that all looks a bit flimsy to me. You'd only build a base like that if you don't mind it rotting in a couple of years.
