One man waited 25 years to realize the dream he helped create.
Only one Nissan R390 GT-1 road car exists—and it was never meant to touch the street.

In this intimate portrait of speed, memory, and craftsmanship, we follow Le Mans driver Érik Comas as he brings a forgotten prototype back to life. Built for endurance. Shelved for decades. Reborn—nut by bolt, with its soul intact.

More than a racecar. More than a restoration.
This is what happens when you refuse to let go of a dream.

Another masterful video that captures the essence of the car and the emotions of its owner/driver. Valkyr again demonstrates the ability to capture the emotions associated with witnessing historically significant cars. These are objects of practical artistry, the sounds and visual impact of this video produce the emotions that are similar to witnessing music or other forms of art.

Literally had chills the ENTIRE video. I'm so glad I found the insta page when this project began, and followed it to completion. Absolutely stunningly beautiful racing car, which looks even better uncaged out on public roads.

Wonderful video, wonderful video. Thank you for sharing these insights, Erik. And congratulations for everything you achieved. It is nice and refreshing to see a racer cherish something long-lasting like that from the past.

Extremely cool. I love the idea that taking it out onto the street feels like "opening the cage" to him, like a captive racer has escaped. It's a unique spin on the idea of driving as a form of escapism.

i dont feel ashamed to admit that i envy you. the car you drive is easily among my favourite cars of all time and i cant even say its for the motor. its look is absolutely stunning, a real work of art. ofc i know the car from Gran Turismo 2 for the play station and ever since then i have fallen in love with this car and its beautiful 1997 black-red sister. the motor is great, too ( in the game ^^ but im sure in real life its the bomb, too xD).

That's awesome that he made it available to drive on public roads.

But I'm confused. There's this car, thr official 1-of-1 blue road car, and third: a R390 that looks exactly like the race car but is painted all white (except the red spoiler). So who has that one? Has it too been converted for street use?
