I used to work in a nursing home with a severe dementia/Alzheimer’s unit. A lady would come in once a week with these ‘reborns’ . She had 2 or 3 I believe. She allowed the residents to hold and cuddle them while she visited. The lady residents seriously thought the baby was real and gently held them, lovingly sang lullabies to them, stroked their hair, kissed their head, talked ‘baby talk’ to them. You could literally experience a change in their spirit when they were holding those babies. It was beautiful.

I have lived a full life. Served in the 1st Gulf War. I came home and became a federal firefighter. I have been to most nations overseas. Seen things the common man can only dream about. I am 54, retired, and was a single father of two boys and a girl. Being a father was my biggest accomplishment. The joy of being a parent and loving your child can not be duplicated in any other way. But I caution those wanting to have a child. Once they are here, there is no going back. They are a 24/7 responsibility, and your single way of life is over. So maybe wait until you are sure it's what you want. I waited until I was 33 to begin having kids. It was the best thing I could have done. I was more mature and versed in the complications of life. God bless anyone who takes on this wonderful adventure

My mom had me when she was 15. And now she’s 30 and she got one of these and I never understood why until recently because like when she’s 30 that’s when she was supposed to be having kids like comfortably and she probably still has material instincts. That make her want a baby, but she can’t have any anymore because she already has me and my sisters. I think it really helps her out.

These realistic reborn dolls do help because my doll helps me too. And some of these reborn dolls do look very realistic and there also weighted as much of a real baby weight is too.
