How to make a data validation drop-down list arrow that is always visible in Excel.

This allows your users to visually see that there is an in-cell list without having to first click that cell.

The method used here does not require any Macros, VBA, Shapes, or Objects – it is 100% formatting combined with a simple formula that you can copy/paste from the downloadable file for this tutorial.

It doesn't actually drop down the list though, it only select the cell with the drop down list. So you have to click it twice.

How can you do this with tabs? If I have 1 master tab and say 30 tabs after, can I hyper link so I can click a tab name and not scroll?

In short.... This is stupid! Just make a list (anywhere on a sheet, or even another sheet) go to the DATA tab, click on Data Validation, select "list" then select the range with the list in it. Yes, the drop down arrow isn't visible until you select the cell but who cares about that?
