This is a great movie…back in the 70’s the Euro pop series Perry Rhodan was imported in paperback form to the USA but never really caught on like it had back home…this Italo - Norwegian mish mash cinematic melange pushes all the worst buttons and comes out as pop culture nonsensical genius…there is suspension of reality…like when Cedric the entertainer dies falling from a helicopter, but our hero Parry Rotten, lands on his feet and runs away…the movie features Saruman without Gandalf, doing a Sidney Greenstreet used car salesman imitation, while his henchman does a Willy Wonka fizzy lifting drinks fly around the room…later the villain does a Willy Wonka Educated Eggducator exit from the space ship…a bye bye…if anyone can tell me why Thora was wearing silver discs on her chest in her opening scene I’d be eternally grateful and stop laughing…best character in this filmographies trash heap is the commanding general who’s dumber than a box of jujube’s…and love 5he flying swan orange plastic hood ornament on the Land Rover, and female Dr and nurse in tight skirts and high heel shoes…uh huh…sure…best of all the Xmas ornament space ships…guess they ran out of hub caps…
