Sewing tip: clipping your curves like the neck and arm holes really helps everything lay in place nicely and helps to reduce tension. In Peter Pan collars you clip the curves with little "v" shapes to reduce bulk. Also trimming and grading your seams also helps them not show through to the outside when you are using a thin fabric.

Perfect! I think the weight of the fabric made the skirt so floaty and magical 💖💖💖

I love how you recreate the dresses that you see! That's really cool

The workmanship is absolutely stunning. The dress is so well made! And it's so beautiful! I was wondering how in the world you were going to get the bodice attached to the first tier and you did something amazing there to accomplish it! Congrats on making a dress that is going to last you for decades.

So so beautiful! I prefer your version on the bust for us bigger busted girls.. the original sits funny in that region and I know I would never wear it. It’s so flowy and free and looks divine! Another great one from you. You must pattern it lol xxx

I like your dress much better than the inspiration dress! Fun dress.

You are becoming a master at lining your pieces. The pin tucks and neck are so good too.

Well done. The dress is lovely and, as you say, will be a well worn summer dress. I would have done the skirt lining without the tiers and additional gathers. But I imagine the way you have done the skirt lining gives the dress additional volume, adding to the baby doll feel. A good choice, methinks.

Your dress is very cute. You can see that it's inspired by but not a total copy of the original. The Doc's just perfectly Janelle-erise the look.

fully lining dresses is a game changer. Most of the dresses I make are fully lined. Pin tucks look like one of those tedious but yet satisfying things... like shirring :D
