So sorry for your loss Mel. It’s devastating loosing a Koi like that. Perhaps had you found it earlier you could have thrown it back in right away. Amazing how long some fish can live out of water. We were deep sea fishing yesterday and there was one red snapper that stayed alive in the fish locker longer than I would have ever figured. Again, I feel your pain.

Sorry to hear that. Yes, they do jump. I had the same thing happened last month. Woke did my morning routine and found my Shusui on the concrete. Good thing it was still breathing. It was bleeding and the tail fin was damaged and barely moving. So I immediately put it back in the pond and helped it breathe with aeration. But it healed up and still with me. I didn’t think it was gonna live. Put a camera bro. Thanks for sharing.

we've had 2 jump out our pond. We lost a platinum ogon, but we were lucky with a gin rin asagi. I went out to the pond, found it on the path, when I picked it up it moved, so I put it back in the pond and it's been OK ever since. Unfortunately it's part of koi keeping.

So very sad. For your loss, omg and a real beauty. Rip koi! It’s so horrible when you lose a fish! I just transferred all my koi to a bigger pond but covered most of the pond, so I am praying they don’t find the area where there is no cover! Thanks for sharing!

Sorry to hear that Uncle. I know what it’s like to lose a fish. I take each one of mine pretty hard. I don’t keep coy so I don’t have that particular attachment, but I do keep goldfish, and they are almost the same in my opinion. Keep your head up my brother. I know you will.🦯🐠

That is obviously very upsetting. Especially since it’s the golden 🌽. I’m really sorry. I know how hard they are to get and how expensive they are. I had a golden corn that died from an infection at the beginning of this year. Then I purchased 2 more and they arrived 3 days late, frozen in the bag and dead. Then I ordered 2 more and one died of I’m not sure what. So I have one golden 🌽 left that seems to be doing great. You gotta get yourself another one. Thank you for the update.
