If you’re like me and trying to find info on trolling motor - inflatable kayak/boat setups, then I hope this helps you. I fitted a Haswing 20lbs thrust trolling motor to an Intex K2 inflatable kayak powered by a 12v-20ah AGM battery.

I tested it out in calm but not glassy waters on speed 1 & got almost 4hr battery life cruising up/down the lake. When using for fishing, I used it on speed 1 and 2, on & off throttle and only got around 2.5hrs. And these tests were done with 2 people (approx 300lbs total in kayak).

The benefits of the 20lb motor mated to a 20ah AGM battery was strictly because they’re both lightweight and easy to fit on/in the kayak especially when cargo space in your vehicle is limited. The downside to the 20ah battery size, must charge it everyday which may be an issue if you’re camping without solar/generator/charging option.

I didn’t check speeds with a sensor but I would guess speed 1 gets you around 2mph and speed 2 around 3mph.
