Small and Mid-Sized Businesses Are at Risk of Getting Left Behind When It Comes to AI Adoption
Показать описание
Small and mid-size enterprises (SMEs) are at risk of getting left behind when it comes to AI. Large firms in Europe have been adopting artificial intelligence nearly twice as fast as SMEs, according to a study by Ipsos for the European Commission 2020. This represents a missed opportunity for all SMEs, which employ nearly half of the world’s labor force (source: World Bank). Left unchecked, this uneven AI adoption rate could widen the existing productivity gap between SMEs and large firms – France's gap is currently at 26% and Turkey’s is 60%. Governments are seeking to break down the barriers to AI adoption, as even halving this global productivity gap could add 7% to the global GDP. Whether building AI solutions from scratch or using pre-packaged solutions, what ultimately matters is that SMEs leverage AI where it can help them most. #WeNeedToLead
