7:45 Fun Fact: after the reunification, Italy wasn't reunited linguistically; a person from Milan, in the north, wouldn't be able to understand a person from Palermo, in Sicily, because of the many different regional and sometimes even local dialects. As such, because the standardized Italian was the only language you could write an official government paperwork, many wouldn't understand what was written. But then, after the advent of the TV and the main Channel "Rai", wich hosted many famous actors loved by the townfolks, the government realized that because the actors spoke standardized Italian instead of the dialects, people who once would only speak in dialect, now started to speak in regular Italian.

The Balkan financial support is probably due to the really close Russo-Serbian relations. While unlikely, it could give Russia an avenue of attack at the EU underbelly (or the threat of such an attack) as well as support such countries to aide in EU defense elsewhere should be any more ‘special military operations’. Regardless, it does help grow NATO and EU influence

In Germany, we have a very special rule when it comes to license plates.
Those who failed the driving test more than 3 times have to have a yellow license plate on their car.
For some reason you see them more often in the north-west... 🤭🤭

2:55 actually san marino is named after the founder of the country, in the roman empire there was a chunk of unclaimed land. So he claimed it and lived there with his family till he died

6:49 this was because Stalin refused to cede any conquered territory, including Kaliningrad, Moldova (known then as Bessarabia), Finnish Karelia and more. This meant Churchill had to abandon them.

Even thought I hate them, there's a good amount of reasons for front plates. It's very helpful for pedestrians (i was just hit by a car last Friday, and I wasn't able to walk around the car to take a picture of the back plates). Another pedestrian benefit is that they are reflective, so if someone is driving at night without their headlights on, you can still see the car coming. Then as others have mentioned, ticketless parking lot entrances, EZ-Pass lanes, etc... Plus, if you ever get rear ended, you can safely get the plate numbers from your rear-view mirror without having to exit the car. And lastly, and most obvious, it's proven to generate more money through tickets and all that crap.

3:50 lol I love how they paid enough attention to detail to include Andorra as unmarked and the UN buffer border of Cyprus but just forgot to color in Turkish Thrace along with Anatolia, which mind you is about as large as half of the other Balkan states though small compared to the rest of Turkey.

8:45 people are taking history more as it is or for fun, so they don't want to go to college because most of the history classes are boring and textbox based which kills peoples interest in college, but for online and youtube the love of history is still growing.

NRT is Narita Airport. Narita is ridiculously far, and it is even in a different prefecture all together! Even with the quick "Skyliner" which goes 160 km/h, it takes 1 hour and 11 minutes! (That includes metro going towards the core.)
HND is Haneda Airport. Haneda is actually connected with metro to the downtown city. With the "Keikyuu Aiport Line", it only takes 35 minutes to get to the core.

10:30 the reason corn growing jumps up and down every year is because your not supposed to plant corn every year in the same spot so the soil can maintain the stuff that helps corn to grow

Serbia is being left out most probably, because they're one of those staunch advocates of Russia.

In turn, they don't have many allies themselves among european countries ...

And yes, Czechia is known in Europe as a very avid ... Breaking Bad fanboy. Basically, it's european Florida.

7:45 I'm actually very surprised by those percentages. I don't know many people that actually watch TV (not counting Netflix and other streaming platforms). Mostly old people watch it nowadays. I may watch the news for like 10-15 minutes while having lunch somedays, but that's about it.
