CRASH at BEYOND THE STREETS London - Saatchi Gallery

Raised in the Bronx, New York, American artist CRASH adopted his name after accidentally crashing the computer at his school. His tag began to appear on trains circulating throughout New York City.

When approached by BEYOND THE STREETS at Saatchi Gallery, he decided to create paintings based on his pandemic lockdown drawings. What’s fascinating is that while the original drawings were done in ink and watercolor, the paintings on the wall were created using spray paint and traditional paint. Despite the challenge of translating the original style and medium used for the drawings into spray paint and bigger canvas, the outcome is truly stunning.
