Here's information from a medical website:
Persistent testicular pain (PVPS) is the most frequent vasectomy complication that can adversely affect quality of life. Because of this, it should be included in the vasectomy consent process. Due to a lack of prospective data and differing definitions for post-vasectomy pain, consensus on incidence has not been reached. In available studies, a wide range of incidence from 14-33% is reported for any testicular pain after vasectomy. A smaller group of patients, 1-5%, have severe pain that affects quality of life or sexual function. A conservative estimate for chronic PVPS of 1-5% of vasectomized men may be warranted based on available data, but the overall incidence may be higher.

7 years later, still pain that comes and goes. Most of the time I just live with it. 99 percent of the time I'm sure everything goes as planned with vasectomies. My Surgeon specialized in this and only does vasectomies and circumcision's, I'm sure I didn't get a botched job. I got the open ended, no scalpel surgery. PVPS is a real thing...

2. What about pain in testicle tubes (epididymis). If I don't ejaculate in couple of days I can feel the pain, so once you tie them down, wouldn't this be permanent feeling?

Loss of libido, erectile dysfunction, all kinds of pain problems, pain after ejaculation... vasectomy is the stupidest thing I ever did... 1 to 5% have problems for years... even lifelong. Ask yourself the question would you get on a plane where 5 out of 100 passengers drop out.

I worried about a needle to the testicals. That scares me. To numb it.

I was supposed to have one done local where I am. They prescribed one diasapam which did NOT sedate me. My blood pressue spiked to 180/120 and the doctor stopped after sticking me three times to put in the anestethic. They are going to sedate me in a week to do it but I am nervous that they arent going to sedate me properly.

Vasectomies are often presented as safe and simple, but they also have many unpleasant side effects that are rarely acknowledged. Many men get vasectomies without being made fully aware of these risks.

It's great if you're one of the many who are fine afterwards, but you should be prepared for the possibility you'll be among the unlucky 5-10% who end up with long-term chronic pain afterwards. Scrotal swellings, nerve damage, reduced libido and sensation, increased risk of prostate cancer, sperm granuloma (painful lumps in the scrotum), epididymal ruptures and autoimmune reactions (antibodies attacking your own sperm) are other possible complications.

Moreover, there is no cure for any of this, just management, ie painkillers or more surgery that could also make things worse.

Finally, while vasectomies are cheap and easily available, reversals are not.

If you are lucky your pain will be gone in two weeks, if you are unlucky you will be stuck with pain and complications for the rest of your life. Vasectomy is like playing the lottery... A healthy functioning organ is best left alone, there are too many nerves down there that can fire up after surgery.
