Washer/dryer: if it's not new, run it with no clothes on the hottest setting with just a cup of bleach or run its self-cleaning cycle if it has one. Helps find problems before you put your clothes in it.

If you move into apt with carpet even if it’s ugly keep it, cause the older the carpet you won’t get charge for damage. Now if it’s new then that your liability. Want deposit back before moving note all the stuff they need to fix, also that “first free month “ fyi it’s not free it’s broken down per how many months you staying
