Hi Dr. McFadden. You have been so helpful with my questions before and I apologize this one isn't specific to implants but I'm desperate for an honest answer. I've already failed to get any regarding teeth that were being repaired, only to find they were decayed below the gum line. That's a separate issue.
Lest night a crown fell out when I opened my mouth to floss. It was a 5 year old root canaled tooth, that ended up developing infection after a year. It was repaired by the same endodontist. It always felt a weird pressur when I bit down
I was shocked to find a large amount of cotton gauze stuffed inside the crown! Is this normal? I've had one clinic tell me it is but it makes no sense to me. To me, it would be no different than leaving a surgical sponge inside a surgical patient but a clinic I spoke to said it's not abnormal to leave gauze in place. We don't have the same system in Canada where we can seek legal help but just knowing if I am barking up the wrong tree would help.

You might not remember me from comments on another video, showing an interest in your treatment for permanent implant bridges. I've been suffering extreme pain from Lichen Planus (some specialists agree and some don't). End result is living with loss of the lining of normal tissue on the inside of my mouth and erosive sores cutting into my tongue. It's changing the shape of my tongue on one side. Difficulty swallowing and limiting options of food I can eat. Told I need to remove the remaining back teeth.
This has been going on 3 very painful years where the quality of my life has dwindled to barely surviving. Being disabled, on small disability income but luckily I have dental insurance which wouldn't come close to covering the kind of implant suitable for me (no dentures to trap bacteria to aggravate my mouth.
I've also noticed since the crown fell out, the burning in my mouth has increased to an almost intolerable level. Whether this is due to the exposed root canal material? I'm at the point I don't trust what the people who have performed these treatments. Excuses made such as dry mouth and poor dental care. I was aware 20 years ago that the medications I had to take caused dry mouth so I've always been proactive. Keep mouth moistening products on hand at all times (biotene, Xylimelts and sugarless gum to suck on during the day). I floss and brush with an excellent electric toothbrush after each meal and sometimes in between meals. Teeth are well cleaned.

Out of watching several professionals, the only place I'd trust to help recover my mouth would be yours. Wish it were possible as soon I will be without any back teeth with nothing to replace them. My already limited diet will be reduced to... I don't know what. Didn't mean to ramble, sorry. I now have infection and feel very ill. The cotton filled crown is the main question? Oh, and if the root canal material could be irritating my mouth even more?

Can you plant full arch bridges with not sufficient bones due to periodontal disease using Zygomatic implants?

Will the Interdental gingiva (papilla) eventually fill in the gaps if a zirconium roundhouse 12 tooth with no pink and 7 full size implants that were all bone grafted is screwed into place after wearing an interim denture for about 8 months while bone grafts healed?
