Rajinikanth reveals: Why did the actor not join politics

It is the second wave of Covid that kept actor Rajinikanth away from politics. Superstar Rajini revealed this at an event celebrating the silver jubilee of a private healthcare company. Rajini was advised by his doctors not to go for campaigning and meet people. The actor also revealed, "If I boarded the van (campaigning vehicle) they will ask me to remove the mask and the crowd cannot be controlled. How could I say anything? If I tell them they would say he is afraid of politics. What will happen to my reputation? I was thinking of all these things." Rajinikanth also said that his doctor told him not to worry and that he would talk to the media and his fans. "It is your health. We are not lying," Rajinikanth quoted his doctor as saying. Former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu was also part of the event in Chennai.
