Finding Refuge in Nature

People have always sought refuge in nature. Yet with so much stress and uncertainty, now more than ever, people are seeking access to nature and wild places. Most recently, while the world shut down, the investment you made five years ago to preserve open space paid dividends. Trails remained open and the unbounded resilience of nature proved uncrowded and restorative. In particular, the Gallup Orchard inspired hope this spring as renewal work opened new pathways and revealed surviving apple and pear trees in full bloom setting new fruit. Nature, unaware of our troubles, endured and provided refuge.
