REBUILDING A £600,000 LAMBORGHINI REVUELTO

Показать описание

I bought a wrecked Lamborghini Revuelto and now i have go to figure out how to rebuild it. This is the first crash damaged Revuelto that we know of so everything we repair we are figuring it out ourselves. The main issue is that we still can't get the Lamborghini to start but we are hoping today to accomplish that.

Hi Mat, qualified tech here with experience in Audi and Volkswagen (mainly) here is a break down of the error code your struggling with - Since P1609 is a control module programming error, it might be a result of:
• Corrupt ECU flash due to crash voltage dip
• Disconnected ECU mid-crash or short circuit
• ECU damage from impact or water ingress

Test:
• Try reflashing or reinitializing the ECU (dealer-level diagnostic tool required)
• Consider ECU replacement or cloning if irreparably damaged

I am old enough to remember impatiently waiting for Top Gear on a Sunday now it’s impatiently waiting for Mat Armstrong.
Another brilliant build 👍

P16090 is a crash shutdown code. Ive worked on around 10 different electric volkswagens. You DONT dont need to reflash the ECU. You just need to use ODIS and run the test for the P16090 code and it will remove the Crash shutdown fault. This can only be done once all of the airbags have been repaired though. If you fail to do this 3 times though it will lock your airbag module. The Autel will be no good. You can pay to have a ODIS level diagnostics with SFD and it cost around 85 GBP for an hour of diagnostic with ODIS on lamborghini. If you want I've got some "OEM" tools I can come and reset it for you free of charge.

I’m an Audi master tech. High voltage expert certified. Have you tried a sleep cycle? These new vehicles are notorious for not clearing faults until you let the car ‘sleep’. Which is closing all doors hoods etc and then locking the car for a few minutes. It lets all the modules shut down and only then will the codes become passive and able to clear. Good luck.

EDIT: Okay as many of you pointed out there's copper-nickel brake lines, which I just learned about, are as good as steel. So maybe it isn't that big of a deal as I initially thought, however I still think that on a car this level you shouldn't be saving on the brake system components.

19:30 COPPER IS NOT BETTER THAN STEEL. There is a reason why you never see copper brake lines fitted to cars with ABS because long term it cannot handle the pulsation that the ABS produces, beacuse it is a lot softer material, IT IS GOING TO FAIL eventually. I think I don't need to explain why this is a huge hazard especially on a car with this much power. Please help Mat notice this.

This channel is what pushed me to start my own project. I just rescued my first car, and while it's far from this level, the process is teaching me a lot. Thank you, Matt, for being such a huge inspiration. I admire you a lot!

Bob gives off the vibe of ancient Nordic blacksmith in an MMO, the one tucked away in a remote forge, crafting legendary weapons and armor to slay dragons

You need to reset the bms (battery management system ) to be able to turn on the revuelto. Think of it like the lithium 12v batteries in audi, porsche, lambo. If you get me the part number on the bms inside the penthouse I might be able to get that sorted for you.

I enjoy reading these comments of all the people around the world trying to help Mat figure it out just as much as the videos - feels like we're all one big family trying to solve the same issue

Regarding random parts of Revuelto in Poland, the company that develops the software for this vehicle is actually based in Poland. Few test mules have been cruising around our country for the past few months, so I'm guessing they had to be officially scrapped. But, since we're talking about Poland, they were of course dismantled and sold off.

Man, these comments from skilled techs are gold. Confident you'll get it sorted by next week. Good luck!

It staggers me that Mat puts out in one video that other creators would stretch out for weeks. Great stuff.

That Bob is a metallurgic god of biblical proportions, that metal pipe work was amazing, the joy it must be to see him just make one part for any car. That’s worth the subscription to start with

Most people will not realize how impressive Bob's abilities are. He literally built an upgraded exact copy of a stamped industrial piece in two hours, with millimetric precision. Impressive work on the rear subframe, which may be stronger than the stock one now. Damn

Huge respect for Bob! He has mastered his craft to the fullest—a profession that, unfortunately, is dying every day. I’m glad there are still people who work with their hands instead of a computer. Thank you as well, Mat, for showing them to us!
