Aggregate stability indicates the resistance of soil structure against mechanical or physico-chemical destructive forces. This device works on the principle that *unstable* aggregates break down more easily than *stable* aggregates after immersion in water.

Applications:
• Researchers who focus on soil erosion, land degradation and #Conservation, #Agriculture, & sustainable agriculture.
• Researchers on salinization problems may use this info to control deterioration of soil structure or to determine possible impacts of improvement practices on aggregate stability.
• Provides information on the sensitivity of soils to water and wind erosion.
• Provides information that will improve tillage programs by adapting to the specific soil type and crop demands.

The Wet Sieving Apparatus is available with sieve sizes from 2mm to 0.045mm.
