One important fact that was not mentioned, Horses are one of only 2 species on earth that can NOT vomit, meaning they are very susceptible to things like Travel sickness, food poisoning etc if they get sick they can die very quickly if not treated, i.e. Colic, even in a new born baby is not dangerous....but in a horse it is(can be) deadly, it can be caused by eating food that is "Off" like Hay that has been wet and dried out but still has bacteria/mildew etc when a human gets food poisoning they can expel what upsets them, Horses can't, so if you own a horse make sure they only have access to clean/fresh food

The horse dentist is called a 'FLOATER " . Horses are also a prey animal . That one of the reasons their eyes are on the side of their heads so they can see behind them . Their mane is so to help keep predators from getting a good grasp on the back of their necks .

Enjoyable video, but there's one "fact" that is not true: owls cannot see behind themselves without turning their heads about 180 degrees, whereas horses' eyes are situated so that they can see behind themselves in large part. Nice video.

This information is all true.
It saddens me that these beautiful animals are still eaten by people in Europe and Asia.
It is illegal in the USA to Slaughter Horses for food now, but unfortunately they can still be shipped to Canada to be Slaughtered and ship overseas for food. A 200 Million dollar business. Horses are also still raised for Food on ranches and sent to Asia as cargo in Airplanes in horrible conditions many of them are dead or dieing when they arrive because of the horrible way their shipped.
We as Humans need to STOP this WORLD WIDE IT'S DISGUSTING. NO HORSE SHOULD BE TREATED THIS WAY BUT TRUST ME THEY ARE AND IT HAS TO STOP.

Here's do not have the ability to regurgitate. If they eat something that does not agree with them, they are in deep trouble cause they cant get rid of it. This is why other animals are allowed to graze in open fields but you will notice that horses are ALWAYS grazed in a fenced area. The plants growing inside the grazing area are carefully tended to keep out bad plant life.

One other thing horses will not trample another living creature unless they intend to kill it in self-defense. I can testestify to that. When I was 12 years old, my sister and I were visiting a horse, and she didn't get along with another horse, got into a fight, and came right at me, we bummed heads and she didn't even come close to knocking me over nor did I get hurt bumping heads. She also came at me with a full gallop. This fact was in a magazine my sister read.
