For carbureted engines hooked to automatic overdrive transmissions, you should look into the linkage kit from Bowtie Transmissions in Southern California. They have a kit that includes a new kickdown spring for the transmission and a special cable setup that controls the throttle and transmission much better.

I'm looking at a 1966 f100.. looks like the same type setup.. I'm 6'3" tall and sit in it fine.. the has pedal it's is uncomfortable. Will the bolt on the assembly come out to adjust the lower part and pad down?
