As a driver of an M106A1back in the late 70s the M203 was my issued weapon and I even got to actually fire it multiple times which I found it to be quite fun.

When you are in the military, firing live rounds is expensive, so they usually don't give all that many to practice with. Every once in a while, though, lightning strikes, and fortune rains down on you. We were on a range once, and our platoon was in charge of ammo. Somehow the plans for the M203 range were canceled - for other platoons. We had everyone's ammo to shoot off, all by our lonesome. We got seventeen fucking rounds, each. Sat out there popping off HE rounds at old wrecks like we were down by the river with our 22s. 17 each. I felt as giddy then as I do now. What a day...

I was a 203 and 249 gunner in the Army, I need both in my civvy life!!! This at least gets me halfway there!

I was a m203 gunner for 7 years, and the quad sights are the way to go.
I once shot a 40 out of forty with this weapon.
I was an experienced shooter of the compound bow without sights, and I really think that skill really helped with my accuracy.

Ugh. As a retired 11H/B I was assigned this hog for 4 years while in the 2/502nd, 101st ABN. During the Gulf War it wasn’t just the rifle and launcher, it’s all the ammo with the ammo vest on top of my PASGT vest. But it was fun to shoot and after a while you can get damn near surgical precision with the 203!
