In our Moroccan culture, generations used to not take responsibility and blame the "alien" instead. As an example, we Moroccans tend to say in Moroccan Arabic "mcha 3liya train", which means "the train have gone". Here we are not taking responsibilty, and blaming the other. In contrast, people in other cultures, let's say French people as an example, they tend to say " j'ai raté le train", and here they take responsibility by pointing out that the one who arrived late is the person and not something else.
I used to take my responsibility by the way hahaha.

excuses is one of the mean factors witch keep us in the start point
actually blaming others makes us think like we are not the responsible but it totally the opposite
