Wasn't it a punch cards thing?
Im not an old computer geek, but i know they used punch cards in old computer timeand a bug was on one of the punch cards that resulted in the code not executing properly.

Not true. The first recorded instance of a bug causing a technical malfunction occurred in 1947 when engineers working on the Mark II Aiken Relay Calculator, an early computer at Harvard University, found a moth lodged in the machine's hardware.
