Oh my gosh, this thing about having sooo many started stories that never saw an ending. I used to be so bothered by this, but now i realize that we all have tones of unfinished projects, and it's okay, and I will continue trying to finally write a full story! Good luck to everyone this year!

the amount of stories I’ve planned, but haven’t completed are in the double digits easily. This video has truly inspired me to keep writing.

Also a tip: learn to utilize those awkward 15-20 minute breaks here and there. If you always wait for a 3 hour time window in a pretty café, it never happens. Learn to drop to your story world anywhere and anytime and spend those small breaks there

It’s a poetry collection for me. I have many poems old and new but have not been able to put a collection together yet, a theme etc. nor have I had the motivation to go through all my poems so it always makes me want to start fresh and keep the newer ones I feel can fit into a them in one folder. A poetry collection seems easy but it has been a long struggling process!

Not gonna write my first novel this year (I already have a big project I hope to finish), but I do have a writing goal to get the outline really strong so I can start drafting again in 2024!! But we'll see, maybe if the outline is sturdy enough I'll get started ahead of schedule ;)

This is so inspiring, Vee! Thanks for sharing 💛 One thing I’m trying to implement for my writing practice this year is committing to writing 3 evenings a week, since it will get me writing more often, but it’s not as intense (and for me, unrealistic) as aiming to write daily! I blocked it into my calendar, too. Though one day is flexible between Fri, Sat, Sun because I’m sure other things will come up

Thank you for this! I actually participated in nano last year and failed badly because I was so busy, but it finally got me started after only writing school essays for years! I got to write the beginning of my novel at least.

This year I'll have different projects and then go back to that one I left - I feel it needs more depth. I really want to write a children's book and I have a couple of amazing beginnings already! But I'll just work on them and hopefully get at least one finished haha. It is also a good practice before getting back to my "real" novel

I was really excited fall 2022 because I was making so much progress on a first draft, which I’d never done before but then I fell off it for a while but then today I pushed through and FINALLY wrote the chapter I’ve been stuck on for ages. Is the chapter in question a masterpiece or decent? No, but I wrote it. So here’s hoping that I finish the first draft in 2023!!!

Hi! Thank you for the video! :) I am an artist and writer, so I have designed my own characters and last year ordered some commissions (character sheets) of my OCs, to have a more professional artwork done of my OCs, and those character sheets are so inspiring to look at and get inspired to write these characters :) I am now going to be working on Payback Time, an urban fantasy, rewriting it into draft 2 now. Started already and am so excited to work on it! :)

For me, I just feel like I’m meant to be an ideas person, rather than an actual novelist and that’s a pretty discouraging realization. I come up with amazing ideas (not even exaggerating) that I would be drawn to as a reader and make these detailed plot summaries. When I start writing, im able to crank out the first couple chapter easily, but can never finish. I can never connect the plot points to make a book
