And this comes out just 10 days before CAT. Many TISS aspirants may have not filled the CAT form and even if some of them may, they might not be as serious for CAT as their core focus was on TISS-NET and it's not practically possible to crack CAT in 10 days. Really shocking for the students. Unfair.

It was literally a shocking news for me as I wanted to appear for TISSNET and I haven't yet prepared for CAT because my focus was only on TISSNET, how could I get this college just in 10 days, how can I prepare myself in 10 days to even get to the cut-off .Worst news, literally shocking news for me and all genuine TISSNET aspirants . And think of those who haven't even filled CAT form, it's so hard for me as last year I was a CET student and Sir you and all of you know what happened last year so this year I thought to only and only focus on TISSNET Atleast on the name of such a reputated institution TATA I could not even think that such could happen . This news was absolutely shocking for me, it is a very strange thing. Same thing happened with me last year because of CET. Same thing is happening to me this year also.

This is so heartbreaking. Tissnet was my top priority and I applied for cat just in case but preparation wise it was tissnet oriented where a bit of upsc strategy comes into the picture. This literally topples students future upside down as India is a place where exams also decide (majorly) one's career path. This should've definitely been informed 4 months prior atleast. This is just unfair. If you look into further news in Telangana state - civil exams have been postponed which messed with people's time unbelievably. I mean what's happening with the timeline where y'all are informing so late!? This is plainly just unfair.

I think next year se apply karna chahiye tha, achynat se ik dum Nov mai exam cancelled,
Just think about a student who prepare TISS last 1 year or who take drop for TISS
How much they sacrifice or suffer.

It's a very bad news for those students who's from humanity stream and it's not necessary they filled their cat application form .. if they want to change anything but atleast do these changes before deadline of cat .. this is not fair ..

Was solely preparing for TISSNET. Didn't apply for Cat. And now this. This is not a joke! The entire year is at stake.. who is gonna compensate for this lost year??? Life of students is no joke

They should've at least kept multiple exams for this year. E.g. SNAP/XAT/CAT. As students would still have time to fill form and prepare for those two exams.

What about the student who was not focusing on the cat but on the other exam, like xat and tiss. This should be informed beforehand so that a student can prepare wisely. My focused exam is xat, tiss, and not the cat. Last-minute major changes only put bulk pressure on students. It's totally unfair and disheartening!!!

sir socha tha, CAT nahi hua to TISS me kuch time milega... kuch to acha ho sakta tha, Doing UG in BA HONS PSYCHOLOGY and wanted HRM in TISS.

EDIT - As per the new circular from TISS released on 17-11-2023, for the year 2024-25 they'll take the marks of CUET and not CAT for the courses of M.A. in HRM and M.A. in ODCL

This is so wrong they should have at least informed the student 2 months back so that students who were targeting TISSNET can also fill for CAT. The Cat form is closed now what is the puppose of choosing CAT for eligibility when students are not even able to fill for TISSNET via CAT???? if they wanted to change they should have changed from the next year CAT 2024

It'll be good if the CAT can be structured like GMAT - Give 3 attempts per year, and for every year. And admission process should be like IIMs. 1 form for all colleges. If colleges worry about their revenue, just add fees according to number of colleges the student is applying.... just like NMAT.

That will be good because students won't have to prepare for different exams, studying different syllabus. Also, financial load on students will be less.

My third option was TISSNET but not I am left only with 2 option CAT and XAT. And I am confident that I will get through it this year. Completely disappointed 😥. They are making all the changes this year only.
