It’s wild to be here now

with full confidence rather than what could have been hopeless optimism

that our seemingly impossible dreams of making big wild things professionally on this new website called YouTube

Is real

not a future I strongly believe is possible.
But blatantly real.

You did it Andrew ❤
I’m so proud of you

I assumed you partnered with a film studio to make space time, the fact that you produced it yourself is amazing to me

I thought Spacetime was an absolute success - both as a visually gorgeous, heartfelt, silly scifi story and as commentary on questioning what the internet tells you. (All with fabulous music, of course, too!) Congrats to Andrew and your whole team; glad to see some of the BTS!

Absolutely insane. I admire you and your entire team.

Now that you've explained part of your intent with this series, I think it's actually genius that a big element of it was a parody of some of the stuff we see online, and I wish I had been able to recognize that sooner!

When I think of Andrew Huang, I don’t think of just ‘music producer’, I also think of videographer, story teller, educator, etc! I actually loved pulling in different aspects like the cheesy YouTube cliches, gear reviews, 4producers, and the story. It was all very Andrew Huang, but tied thematically with this awesome space story! It really helped set up the expectations of the series and was thematically on brand in my opinion, I don’t think it tried to over stretch. This was super creative and it was soooo cool to see a breakdown!!

I don't know if other people reacted the same way, but I definitely thought the mix of genres and intents (education, music promo, SciFi storytelling, social media commentary) were super clear and effectively executed. Maybe it's because I'm a long time fan, and I can pick up on what you're trying to do more easily? Whatever it was, I think Spacetime was a huge success and it's honestly surprising and a little disappointing to hear you talk about it with such doubt at the end of this video. You should be massively proud, because you made something monumental - and I for one loved every second of it.

Spacetime was and is my favourite YouTube series. Honestly, whole thing was full on hit for me.

Spacetime is one of the most unique and transformative video series on the Internet. There's so much to love: the parody and commentary of other YouTube videos, emulating the form without stooping to mockery and while staying true to your own style. The amazing costumes, sets and VFX. The self-aware humor, like "you haven't heard of Lumanautics because it's from Canada". An engaging story with callbacks to previous content like the time crystals, reassuring the audience that this isn't an arbitrary deviation from your regular content. And all the while seamlessly integrating your music education videos into this new format. This series will remain one of my favorite pieces of media on the Internet. Well done, Andrew!

I’m not even joking when i say that Spacetime is one of my absolute favorite things ever done on Youtube. I think it’s a stroke of pure genius

When Spacetime happened, I’d never seen anything like it on Youtube. It’s a genuinely awe-inspiring achievement, especially because you just took a leap without a support net. No one could have known whether it was going to be a huge flop or even achievable with those resources. I consider it a masterful blend of promotion and content, enjoyed every minute!

I was eagerly waiting for the behind the scenes video, and it didn't disappoint! As an avid sci-fi fan, I think your Spacetime saga was the most creative and surprising sci-fi-social-media experiments I have ever seen. Not acknowledging its fakery in real time and almost "gaslighting" the audience just added to the thrill of watching this fascinating concept unfold in real time. I'm a bit amazed that some people thought it was real for any length of time, but on the other hand people can believe all sorts of unbelievable things. I don't agree that this was a failure at commentary on social media, but it might appear like that because it's impact was small. As far as the aptness of the commentary goes, it was spot on.
From a filmmaking point of view, I admire your team's ability to create such a visually pleasing sci-fi narrative with the minimal means you had. I've seen productions that were much more expansive that ended up looking much worse. Minimalism and focus are great principles in indie filmmaking of this type.

It’s hilarious and really concerning that people legitimately thought he went to space.

I have no idea why this video made me cry, but what I can assure you, Andrew is that all about this project inspired me so so much when it came out and seeing part of the work, thought and effort behind it now, humbles me in an amazing way. Regardless if it isn't the best promo campaign or whatever lens you wanna see the project, it has an incredible and massive value, specially creativity and storytelling wise. I truly thank you and everyone involved in Spacetime and admire you all. Thank you for facing that tremendous journey and share it to the world.... and beyond

That took a lot of courage and humility to end the video like you did. You straight up explained what you thought of the whole thing and what parts you thought didn't work right. You had an idea and a vision and you saw the whole thing through - which is far more than most of us can say. Despite being one of the top music production creators on this platform, you really can push your ego to the side and be subjective about your art. That deserves some serious props because most creatives I know (including myself) struggle doing that. I'm glad you made the whole project, but even more glad you made THIS video. So much good stuff in this one. Sidenote: How awesome is Blender? And it's FREE! Crazy. Oh, and you made some amazing music during all this. This channel is amazing.

It was wonderful getting to see all of these other artists doing what they love to contribute to your creation. I was especially excited to see that Blender was used for VFX.

I'm impressed with the balance in your self-critique, recognising the strengths and weaknesses of Spacetime in its final form, compared with the vision you started out with. Overall, I felt Spacetime was great, even if it didn't hit every aim perfectly. You really dreamed big and that went a long way!

Man. That shot where you are playing piano at home near the end.... That made me tear up. It sort of encapsulates the feeling one gets when they really delve into themselves to create art. The depths of which your mind can take you... God, that was powerful!
