Alimony agreements entered before Dec. 31st, 2018 still need to be reported as income or can be taken as a deduction. Change only affects divorce decree's dated in 2019 and forward.

We are totally getting taken to the cleaners here in California... We just had to cut a check for $12, 000 to the IRS and $4, 000 to the state --- all of it due to the @#$#$ tax change.
I am not sure who this tax change was supposed to help (besides the GOVT), but I have had it with the USA tax structure. We need to stop all the entitlements and get to a flat tax.

Hi Lizz! Would I benefit using TurboTax if I have 2 disabled children there’s a form my tax prepare uses that i need to get from my doctor every 5 years. Should I just stay with a tax preparer?

I'm going to file my taxes on-line after watching this video. Hope I somehow avoid a late fee, being its 8:15 pm April 18th 2019. Maybe I will get lucky, being its the IRS chances of no late fee are slim to none. Anyways, IRS is like Pac-Man, with no ghosts to try and stop them from collecting every extra fee they can. The interest they make from the American people is 36 million dollars an hour. I work very hard for my wages and to pay so much tax makes me very angry. Inflation plus increasing tax makes it difficult to pay bills and keep food on the table. Maybe I should start a Go Fund Me that is tax exempt. Thanks for the tips, and sorry for the long rant. I hope everyone stays healthy and enjoys life to the fullest. Stressing out because of the IRS is not necessary, keep thinking positively. Happy to be alive, and blessed to have a job you love.
