We’ve found the BEST local STREET FOOD in BUSAN! We take you on a local Korean street food tour in Seomyeon, Busan, South Korea to discover amazing Busan street food...

We eat:

Kalguksu and mandu
Kalguksu are handmade, knife cut noodles and this local spot offers freshly made noodles in bowls of anchovy broth. We also eat their giant mandu or dumplings which are stuffed full of chives, glass noodles and minced pork. The eatery we ate at can be found on 266-17 Bujeong 1(il)-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan.

Gimbap (seaweed rice rolls)
The local market is the perfect place to find some delicious snacks. We find a stall in Bujeon market doing a brisk business in making gimpab- seaweed rice rolls stuffed full of ingredients including pickles, ham, surimi, egg and more.

Chimaek (chicken and beer)
Chimaek is a classic when in Korea! Our favourite chimaek stalls are the ones where the chickens are double fried and served simply- just with salt and pepper and some white, pickled radish. Wash it all down with a beer and you have a stellar meal!
Where we ate: 플레이파크PC South Korea, Busan, Busanjin-gu, Bujeon-dong, 261-1

Korean Street Toast
One of Korea’s most popular snacks is Korean Street Toast. Two slices of white bread are slathered with butter and sandwich an omelette, cabbage, tomato sauce and sprinkled sugar. It’s sweet, savoury, buttery goodness.
The street toast vendors we ate from are located at the entrance to Bujeon Market at 266-17 Bujeong 1(il)-dong, Busanjin-gu, Busan.

Patjuk (red bean porridge)
Bujeon Market has a range of stalls serving hot porridge. We sample the dan patjuk or red bean porridge which turns out to be a savoury version. The patjuk contains pieces of rice cake which melt into the hot porridge creating a gooey, delicious mess!

One of my favorite videos - so pretty at the beginning with those giant, fluffy snowflakes. The noodles and the mandu looked fantastic, but that fried chicken got me, I bet that it was out of this world. Looking forward to you next food-adventure!

Gimbap has got to be the winner of this food hunt.... closely followed by that Toasted omlette sandwich!! The simple things in life toast, egg, sauce and all the butter are often so satisfying. I thought the porridge would definitely be sweet also given it was red bean, taste bud confusion in a bowl. But then rice porridge is very common in China and its savoury so l guess its just our eyes and brain that was playing tricks on us here.
Fried Chicken is Sheenas Utopia! Bet you will sniff out Fried Chicken in Nepal😉😉

What a great tour you made. That 'toasted egg sandwich/ tosti' looks nice, the fried chicken but most of all the sushi roll. Stay warm btw, a lot of snow. Well good for the Olympics coming up.

All looks good! 🤤 That seaweed rice wrap was right up my alley until I saw the fake crab. I just cannot eat that fake crab. How was the beer flavored cold pickled radish? 🤣🤣🤣

Busan! Gosh I miss this place. And the food! Oh my! I didnt manage to try any of them during my week there sadly :( . They look so amazing, especially the fried chicken, the mandu and the gimbap.

Pouring beer while taking care of the camera definitely requires some ninja training! :p
