Venus is basically midway between a rocky and a gaseous planet: not enough atmosphere to be considered gaseous, but just enough to completely hide its surface. Also, the atmosphere might be dense enough to be almost liquid at the surface, a characteristic normally typical of gaseous planets.

Wow, Venus is FAR more gray that I thought. All prior captures had a orange hue. It would be like finding out Neptune is actually green lol
