This is just speculation but I'm pretty sure Kite is the duelist that defeated "Ryo Marufuji" or Zane Trusdale in Arc-V. Zane Trusdale is mentioned as his japanese alias Ryo Marufuji in arc v but seeing that he is nowhere to be found, I can only surmise that Kite defeated Zane.

Battle iq goes to zexal kite he was prepared for everything in his duels eg in his debut duel he was completely in control and was prepared for everything yuma had to throw at him, in there final duel he used yumas card to his advantage by making galaxy eyes attack zero so yuma couldn't attack it and he planned on having mizar destroy prime photon because its effect exceeded neo tachyons effect

Cipher's (as a deck IRL) best XYZ is Galaxy-eyes Cipher blade dragon. Photon's best card is Neo Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon. Neo galaxy-eyes has better stats and effect for fulfilling a specific summoning condition. If you use a Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon as material the 4500 Atk monster negates the effect of every other face up card on the field at it's time of XYZ summoning. The negated cards remain negated until removed from the field. Cipher blade's effect is to detach 1 Xyz material to destroy a card on the field. This card can also be XYZ summoned by using a rank 8 Galaxy-eyes XYZ monster you control as the material and has 3200 Atk. Photon has the better boss evolution.
