curved slope faster than linear #physics

In case you ever need a pick-me-up, physics got your back.

To understand the physics behind the balls travelling down a straight track and the ball travelling down the curvy track, think about the conversion of gravitational potential energy to kinetic energy.

Which track has a greater conversion of energy at different points along the track?

i like how you dont realize that youre basically telling me that my life will end sooner because of the ups and downs lmfao

And constant downs means the ball gets to its end first. Just like life.

If you have more ups and downs that means your journey ends faster 🤯

The experiment is fun but I'm more interested in the funko pop collection

What I learned: if you bounced up n down you will finish faster

The turbo boosts don't hurt, though:) Realistically, if the valley was steeper and the momentum had less energy to make it up, then you could get stuck and not even finish the first hurdle. I imagine in real life, people have insurmountable hurdles that are hard to overcome.

Yes it does matter because the end point is lower for the bumpy track meaning the ball gets to release more potential energy this is basic physics

Rip people who used this in a race.
Going uphill makes you slow down as well as downhill

Im pretty sure that bumpy ball is defying physics

It’s because the speed going down is enough to go up and forward until this builds up and the ball reaches the other side first

I love it and I love watching your shorts!

This is a good physics and life lesson...

Ups and downs showed me that i will fucking die faster than if my life got straight to the point.

As a pessimist,   I both admire and abhor your positivity, lol. I admire it because you see life in a better way than I do, so through wishful thinking, you can think life isn't so bad. However, I abhor it because I feel like it misrepresents people stuck in chronic problems, like they only have themselves to blame since they could be able to make it like everyone else, regardless of life situations. I know you aren't actually saying that, but people will use cutesy analogies to make it sound like "you can do anything you want if you put your mind to it" when the reality is, some people have chronic problems, some people have situations that aren't advantageous,  some people are rejected by society and can't just use gifts to pull themselves to the top through sheer determination. What can you do? Maybe I make too many excuses, but I think the reality is, some landscapes are designed for some people to prosper, while other people have landscapes that are designed to forever keep them down.

I am a real person with feelings, not a ball experiencing simple physics

Is this because both the spheres have the same velocity along the x axis

This actually shows two balls rolling on differently shaped tracks

It’s like pumping while skating to get more speed with pushing
