45th SW Detachment 3, Task Force 45 prepares for human space flight return

The 45th Space Wing is redesignated as Task Force 45 for the launch of the DM-2 mission. This launch is the first time astronauts have lifted off from American soil in nine years. In addition, 45th Operations Group Detachment 3 stands up to provide support should the astronauts need to be rescued on day of launch.
