Ever been asked by a cop, "Where are you headed?" or, "Where are you coming from?"

The truth is, cops really don't care about your answers to these questions. They're testing you to see if you're nervous giving the answer or if they can smell alcohol on your breath. If you seem nervous or they think they smell alcohol, they will pull out every stop in the book to try to arrest you.

As a lawyer, my advice is to say, "Officer, I exercise my right to remain silent and not answer your questions." Then, hold true to that throughout the stop.

On one particular day I was extremely gassy. I made sure I let one rip just before the police officer pulled me over. And when he pulled up to my window I rolled down the window he stuck his nose in and wished he didn't. Let me tell you when I eat eggs I leave a rather foul order odor. Needless to say the officer looked at me I smiled, he returned to his vehicle and left.

Officer safety should never be a thing. If officer safety is a problem, the cops should choose a different job.

Always wondered about this one. One time I answered truthfully ... "I'm coming from Wendys". He didn't believe me, so I showed him my soft drink cup. Really obnoxious. Gonna try that right to remain silent next time.

Even if you keep both hands on the wheel and make no movements, when you say you refuse to answer questions they just decide to make you get out of the car anyway. It's pathetic and needs to be stopped.

I just got pulled over, tabs expired, I'm black and I politely said that I made a mistake for not taking care properly. He got my driver's, insurance and just a warning! Respect goes both ways. If you run your mouth and be a smart ass, it can cost you a big ticket. Simple as that

So true, I'll tell you a funny story my brother-in-law got stopped at a checkpoint, the cop asked him Have you been drinking tonight, and he said yes .... a pause ... a Tim Hortons coffee 😂
