Thanks to a powerful zoom and 1-inch sensor, this creative camera provides exceptional video performance that meets professional requirements.
The optical system is equipped with an integrated zoom and control mechanism that provides a smooth and stable zoom function and minimizes image impact by 80% compared to the FZ1000 precursor. A light-core DC motor allows for slow constant zooming from wide-angle to full telephoto (20x).
The aperture has a fine mechanical control that adjusts for sudden light changes with technology commonly used in professional camcorders. The result is a smooth and even aperture control even when zooming.
20x optical zoom in compact format
The new LEICA DC VARIO ELMARIT lens has a focal sensitivity of f / 2.8-4.5, which contributes to less shake sharpening by telephoto. The range extends from 24mm wide-angle to 20x optical zoom despite the compact size.
The optics consist of 16 elements in 11 groups, including 4 ED lenses and 5 aspherical lenses with 8 aspherical surfaces as well as UHR lens. The lens meets LEICA's stringent requirements regarding MTF value and elimination of glare and reflexes.

New FZ2000 is a model further developed to professional level with 4K capacity (Cinema 4K: 4096x2160 / 24bps and QFHD 4K: 3840x2160 / up to 30fps) video recording in MOV / MP4 format or ultra high bit rate Full HD video recording at 200 Mbps (ALL-Intra) / 100 Mbps (IPB) without time limit. In addition, we have integrated a number of new practical features for video recording at professional level.
*Use SDXC / SDHC memory cards to support UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) when recording at a high bit rate of 100 Mbps or more.

A 2.36 Mpixel Live View Viewfinder with OLED technology delivers a crisp and clear image with 10000: 1 in contrast ratio and perfect image control even in strong sunlight. High 0.74x magnification (vs. 35mm) and wide-angle field make it easy to see details in the image even when the eye has moved from the image center.
The angled and swivel touchscreen makes it easy to take pictures from an exciting perspective while having full control over settings and exposure. Additionally, the touch feature allows you to focus on your subject by simply pointing the subject on the screen and even exposure at the same moment.
