“Would you wear these shorts? Would you ride the subway with these shorts?” My answer was already no but just the thought of sitting down on a subway seat in short-shorts sent a chill down my spine.

😆 I’m accidentally on trend, i’ve mixed feminine and masculine for work for years, only because it’s the only way I manage smart casual. Well I guess everyone can be on trend at least once in a 20 year fashion cycle 😂

I just adore Justine’s informed, intelligent commentary. Such a breath of fresh air. Thank you, Justine.

Hot pants from the 70s. Shorts with a midi length unbuttoned front skirt. Probably sewn from a Simplicity pattern. School sewing project! I remember them well.

Tiny shorts were around in the 70’s. They were called “hot pants.” I’m old enough to remember 😂

I’m having an eighties flashback with these trends. Flowy metal, masculine/feminine (where’s my Esprit argyle sweater vest? Or my thrifted mens suit jacket ?) big flowers, one big accent earring, sheer and flowy, sporty (remember silk baseball Jackets?) Ah, the good ole days!

The Liquid Metal trend is very beautiful, the garments look interesting with how they interact with light. xo

I wore mini shorts fifty years ago, and don't object to their existence, but no way am I wearing them now. Love the flowy skirts.

Love the review ! But the only trend I like is the masculine/feminine mix. I’ve often used a watered-down version of this in the past and am also a great lover of mixing classic with something quirky or casual with something formal. I think these are great techniques for satisfying different parts of your personality. ❤

I LOVED this video, I really liked the feminine paired with masculine trends and the flower one is really a work of art

I like the beautiful, translucent skirts. I'm not a trend wearer, but the black blouse with the roses is magnificent.

Your videos never disappoints me. I used to think of fashion like an unnecessary overhyped stuff, you have changed my perspective drastically. I loved the masculine feminine and also the floral trend. I expected liquid metal to be too flashy but somehow it's not.

I've definitely considered shorts with a transparent skirt, even though I am fat & 55. Not to work (I'm a teacher), but especially in summer I think it is a new way to be comfortable, & more elegant than just shorts. I also loved the huge flowers! Thankyou for another inspiring video.🙏🏽

As a show of respect for my fellow humans, I will not be participating in the short shorts look. You are all welcome.

I love when Justine does fashion trend videos! It is so fun to think about what I already have that might works for the current looks. I have a dress that I love to wear that has a realistic tulip design... I am even more excited to wear it this spring!

The tiny shorts are a return to the early 1970s hot pants which I wore with gusto but which mothers were not too hot on.
They were worn with matching mini dress tops. Mine were pink with flowers everywhere. And I made them myself. Thanks for the memories, Justine!

My hairdresser wore little black shorts today over sheer black tights. I liked it very much 🎉

I went the other way during the lockdowns. I noticed that I just sat on the couch when I wore sweatpants. I upgraded all my sweatpants to linen pants (still with a stretchy waistband but a very different look) and invested in some very comfy bralettes. For the masc/femme I’ve always kinda done that, I’ve been wearing men’s jeans and watches for years paired with very feminine shoes. No tiny shorts for me - I hate sitting down and sticking to a hot plastic seat. I want them mid thigh at least. 😄 I like the metallic trend. I have a satin gold top that I haven’t worn in years because I thought it looked dated but I guess I can take it out again.

I never thought I would see 70’s “hot pants” make a comeback. Cue the disco music.
