In this video, I show you how to set up a new fishing rod with a baitcaster. This is a beginner's 101 crash course. I show you the baitcaster and preferred rod. I also show you how to add a line to a baitcaster while providing tips to prevent birds' nest and overruns. It's important to choose a decent baitcaster combo when starting out, going too cheap will make for an experience that won't have you enjoying your time on the water. Lastly, I show you what I and many would say is the BEST freshwater lure that will have you flipping fish in the boat in no time. The Texas worm rig, or in this case Texas-rigged Senko by Gambler. One day of having a bait caster I love it it’s took 5 casts to learn how to use it I watched the whole playlist and it helped me so much i defentiley recommend it if u can afford it i baught mine for 85 dollars at bass pro shops best place to get the bait caster they spool it for u when u buy the baitcaster for free it was super worth it and I love my bait caster.

Just subscribed ive been watching like 4 more of your videos and they have really helped me i just bought two rods and I opened one up and the line got tangled between the thing with the line wrapped around it can u please make a video on that because im sure it has happened to others aswell it took us 1 hour to untangle

My bait cast reel shows a max I don’t have dials that have numbers. Should I keep mine at Max or a little before Max since I’m new to casting?

I never used one before, tried a few in my local shop but it feels like the reels are always on the wrong side. Cast, switch hands everytime?

I still cant get my lews classic speed spool to work. Practiced casting a light lure in my yard for 30 minutes. Just cant find the sweet spot no matter how many iterations of adjustments i do. I either get gnarly backlash or the thing doesnt cast at all. Frustrating. Going to back to spincast
