I think we could be seeing the early signs of cracking in the MCU. I could be wrong but if the tepid reactions of Captain Meowval is any indication that there’s something happening behind the scenes. If Kevin Fiege isn’t careful he could end up hip deep in cultural ideologues. Slowly chipping away at the foundation they’ve built with the mainstream audience.

Nothing against gay characters, I really like Batwoman in the comics, Apollo & Midnighter were great. As long as the writters are telling good stories, I don't care about the character's bedtime partner(s)...

Taking time out of a movie to explore this nonsense will hurt the plot. Put the story, action, and dialog first above nonsense because it generally doesn't matter and doesn't improve story or plot in most cases.

What they are talking about is the "Eternals" movie supposedly filming this summer. One of the male leads will supposedly be a gay character. But Eternals problems are elsewhere. For the film, marvel has hired an indy film director with no experience in anything but tiny films and hired Matthew Firpo to write. Firpo's only credit is a documentary about refugees.
